Role Summary

Design and implement RTL for SoC units and features, working with system architects, verification, physical design, and software teams to deliver silicon. Responsible for micro-architecture definition, RTL development, silicon bring-up, and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include technical design, cross-team collaboration, and ownership through silicon bring-up.

• Collaborate with system architects to capture functional and performance requirements.
• Define micro-architecture and develop RTL for owned units or features.
• Coordinate with verification and physical design teams to ensure correct implementation and coverage.
• Own silicon bring-up activities with post-silicon validation and software teams.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience. Nice-to-have items are noted separately.

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant ASIC/RTL design experience.
• Proven experience implementing complex features or units in silicon projects.
• Expertise in micro-architecture definition and RTL coding using Verilog or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with synthesis, lint, simulation tools (e.g., VCS or equivalent) and debug tools (e.g., Debussy, GDB).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving skills and scripting ability.
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to mentor others.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with MMU, interconnect design, and cache controller design.

Education Requirements

BS or MS degree, or equivalent practical experience. No specific field of study was listed.
