Primary work location is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA, contributing to high-performance networking chip development and cross-functional engineering delivery.
Experience Level
Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career). Typical background: several years of ASIC/RTL design experience (commonly 3–7 years) or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop detailed micro-architecture specifications from functional specifications with guidance from senior engineers.
- Implement RTL code (preferably SystemVerilog) and participate in coding projects.
- Write functional coverage and SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA); training provided if needed.
- Collaborate with Physical Design teams to identify and resolve timing issues in RTL to meet frequency targets.
- Debug issues reported by verification using EDA tools and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Participate in design reviews and cross-team coordination to ensure design quality and delivery.
Requirements
Required and preferred technical skills:
Must-have
- Proficient Verilog/SystemVerilog coding experience (academic or internship projects demonstrating RTL development).
- Experience debugging RTL and working with EDA toolflows for verification and debug.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with writing functional coverage and SVA (training available if needed).
