ASIC Design and Verification Intern, SOC - 2027
NVIDIAJob Title
ASIC Design and Verification Intern, SOC - 2027
Role Summary
Join the SysASIC and Clock teams to participate in RTL design and verification of reset/fuse/ism/sysctrl/boot and clock-related logic for NVIDIA SoCs. Work closely with Architecture, ASIC Design, Verification, DFT, Physical Design, Firmware, and Software teams to deliver silicon-quality IP.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship (student). Intended for candidates currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include RTL design, verification, debugging, and automation to support delivery of clock and system-IP for SoCs.
- Participate in RTL design and verification of SysASIC and clock-related IPs.
- Develop and debug Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL, testbenches, assertions, and simulation regressions.
- Analyze and resolve issues from simulation, formal verification, lint, CDC/RDC, synthesis, STA, and gate-level verification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design quality, verification coverage, and development efficiency.
- Develop scripts, automation tools, and AI agents to improve design and verification flows.
Requirements
Required technical skills and attributes for successful performance.
- Must-have: Understanding of digital logic design and front-end ASIC development flow (RTL design, simulation, synthesis, STA, lint, CDC/RDC).
- Familiarity with clocking concepts: clock gating, clock-domain crossing, reset synchronization, PLLs, timing fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog; knowledge of UVM, SVA, or functional coverage is a plus.
- Familiarity with formal verification concepts and tools (property specification, assertion-based verification, equivalence checking, formal property verification).
- Experience with scripting (Python, Perl, Tcl, shell) and/or C/C++ and Linux development environments.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, attention to detail, and effective English communication for global teamwork.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with UVM, assertions, coverage, CDC/RDC verification, STA, or gate-level simulation through coursework, projects, or internships.
- Experience developing automation tools or applying AI-assisted methods to design and verification workflows.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
