Role Summary

This role focuses on the specification definition and architectural study of the CPU subsystem for automotive SoCs, specifically for the R-Car series. The position involves collaboration with design teams and IP vendors, making critical technical decisions to drive development forward.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Defining specifications and architecture for the CPU subsystem.
  • Organizing design directions and optimizing subsystem-level operations.
  • Identifying and structuring technical issues during logic design and verification.
  • Making technical judgments consistent with overall SoC requirements.
  • Communicating with IP vendors regarding specifications and issue resolution.
  • Collaborating with global design teams and IP vendors in English.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in CPU cores, cache architecture, or memory-related areas.
  • Ability to organize and communicate design directions effectively.
  • Experience in logic design and verification flow, with participation in technical discussions.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proficiency in English for technical meetings.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience in a technical lead role.
  • Familiarity with multi-core CPU systems and cache coherency mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of power domain separation and physical implementation considerations.
  • Experience in automotive SoC development with functional safety considerations.
  • Conversational proficiency in Japanese.
