Responsibilities
The ARM CPU Subsystem Design Leader will be responsible for:
- Defining specifications and architecture for the CPU subsystem within automotive SoCs (R-Car series).
- Organizing and reviewing design guidelines while maintaining a systems-level optimization perspective.
- Participating in the logical design and verification phases, contributing to technical debates and design decisions.
- Conducting technical examinations that consider power, performance, and reliability constraints in alignment with the overall SoC.
- Engaging in technical communications with IP vendors regarding implementation IP specifications and constraints.
- Driving global development efforts in collaboration with design centers in India and Vietnam, as well as IP vendors, using English.
Requirements
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Practical experience in specification, design, verification, or performance evaluation in one of the following areas: CPU (processor cores, exception/interruption control), cache mechanisms (cache hierarchy, coherence, memory consistency), or memory peripherals (interconnects, memory control, memory interfaces).
- Experience in summarizing design guidelines and technical points based on requirements and sharing them with stakeholders.
- Understanding of logical design and verification flows with a background in actively participating in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and related IP contacts, fostering technological consensus.
- No resistance to technical discussions and specifications in English, with business-level proficiency in Japanese.
