Architecture Lead
Role Summary
Technical authority for the AI Data Innovation Pipeline focused on PCIe, storage and memory connectivity. Lead a team of senior architects and engineers to define architecture, specifications, and product roadmaps for PCIe switches and storage controller product lines.
Work cross-functionally with product marketing, division leadership, engineering, and customers to move concepts through specification, development, validation and deployment.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Minimum of 18 years of industry experience with at least 6 years in management or leadership roles.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, product definition, and customer engagement.
- Serve as the technical authority for the AI Data Innovation Pipeline for PCIe, storage and memory connectivity.
- Lead and mentor a team of senior architects and engineers; provide direction and decisions on architecture and design.
- Define product concepts and lead development of system, board, silicon, software and performance specification documents for PCIe switching and storage controller products.
- Develop and maintain product line roadmaps in coordination with GM and product marketing.
- Coordinate across engineering and business teams to initiate and support development execution and product lifecycle activities.
- Engage with OEMs, ODMs, hyperscalers and ecosystem partners at executive and technical levels to establish trusted, long-term relationships.
- Represent the company in industry standards development and influence related specifications.

Must-have: Deep experience with AI XPU, GPU server and standard server system architectures, and product roadmap development.

Must-have: Hands-on knowledge across system/board/silicon/software specification and development and full product lifecycle from concept through deployment and support.

Must-have: Strong domain expertise in PCIe, PCIe switching (including complex topologies), storage interfaces and protocols (SAS, SATA, PCIe NVMe), and storage devices (HDD/SSD).

Must-have: Familiarity with management interfaces and protocols (I2C/I3C/USB, MCTP, PLDM, Redfish), security/authentication/encryption concepts (secure boot, SHA, RSA, ECDSA, PQC concepts, DICE, SPDM), memory technologies (HBM, DDR, Flash), and telemetry/debug capabilities.

Nice-to-have: Experience influencing industry standards and engaging at executive and architectural levels with OEM/ODM/hyperscaler customers.
