Role Summary

The Architecture Energy Modeling Engineer will research, develop, and deploy methodologies to enhance the energy efficiency of NVIDIA products, focusing on building energy models integrated into architectural simulators and emulation platforms. The role involves collaboration with various engineering teams to analyze and reduce power consumption of GPUs.

Experience Level

Entry-level with a Master’s degree and 1+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Developing methodologies and workflows for selecting and executing workloads using machine learning and statistical techniques.
• Improving energy model accuracy under different constraints like process and timing.
• Correlating predicted energy estimations at various design stages.
• Debugging energy inefficiencies in workloads across different platforms.
• Integrating energy models with performance, verification, and infrastructure development teams.
• Prototyping new architectural features and analyzing their system impact.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A Master's degree with 1+ year of experience or equivalent.
• Strong coding skills, preferably in Python and C++.
• Background in machine learning, AI, or statistical modeling.
• Interest in computer architecture and energy-efficient GPU designs.
• Familiarity with Verilog and ASIC design principles is a plus.
• Ability to analyze algorithms regarding runtime and memory complexities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
