Apprentice HW/SW Development — RAL HPRA
Role Summary
One-year apprenticeship (alternance) within the Driver & Energy Systems R&D team in Toulouse to contribute to a hardware/software prequalification platform (HPRA) for next-generation eFuse products. The apprentice will work across the development cycle from concept and prototyping to verification and release.
Experience Level
Entry-level apprenticeship position suitable for a student in the final year of a technical undergraduate program.
Responsibilities
The apprentice will join a strategic R&D project to build and deploy a HW/SW prequalification platform. Core responsibilities include:
- Develop and debug HW/SW prequalification tools for eFuse products.
- Execute measurement and test campaigns on power electronic components.
- Implement and automate test sequences using laboratory equipment.
- Acquire, process and analyze experimental data.
- Contribute to electrical and physical characterization of eFuse components (performance, robustness, behavior under different conditions).
- Support qualification and reliability activities required for product release.
- Perform laboratory investigations and support failure analysis with characterization, reliability and product development teams.
- Participate in project phases from early prototypes to final validation and release.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Practical experience with instrumentation, data acquisition and laboratory electronic equipment.
- Fundamental knowledge of analog electronics and electrical measurement techniques.
- Basic programming or automation experience (Python, LabVIEW or equivalent) for test automation and data processing.
- Interest in component characterization and experimental data analysis.
- Technical curiosity, experimental rigor, analytical mindset, and ability to work in an R&D team.
Education Requirements
Student in BUT Mesures Physiques (3rd year) or equivalent technical undergraduate program in physical measurements, instrumental techniques or electronics. Equivalent practical experience considered acceptable.
