Applications Engineering Staff Engineer - STA & ECO

Role Summary

This position involves applying engineering expertise in supporting EDA product specifications and deployment, focusing on the semiconductor design domain. The role requires close collaboration with global customers and cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges at advanced technology nodes (7/5/3 nm).

Experience Level

Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the semiconductor field, emphasizing static timing analysis (STA) and engineering change order (ECO) processes.

Responsibilities

• Support EDA product specifications and deployment for semiconductor design houses and foundries.
• Engage with customers to understand and resolve design challenges for SoCs and 3DICs.
• Work with product teams to enhance EDA product development based on customer feedback.
• Deploy and provide support for the Synopsys Seascape platform.
• Deliver expert guidance on STA, power integrity, and reliability challenges.
• Lead the problem-solving process for customer issues throughout the sales lifecycle.
• Contribute to internal initiatives for knowledge sharing and best practices.

Requirements

Applicants must have deep expertise in STA, ECO, and power signoff with a background in using industry-standard tools such as PrimeTime and PrimeClosure. Strong programming skills for workflow automation are preferred.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is typically required. Advanced degrees may be advantageous.
