Role Summary

Join the Test Applications Engineering team within Technical Sales to deliver DFT solutions and support customer silicon bring-up. The role combines hands-on DFT methodology, diagnostics, and customer-facing engineering to ensure successful test integration and tape-out readiness.

Work includes delivering test logic and patterns, validating ATPG and BIST flows, and collaborating with solution architects to productize test technologies and agentic AI capabilities for DFT workflows.

Experience Level

Senior / Staff level. Experience guidance in posting: BSc +7 years or MSc +5 years of relevant experience; expects substantial prior experience in digital IC test and customer engagements.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities focus on DFT delivery, customer support, and tooling integration:

• Design and validate DFT implementations: scan insertion, scan compression, core wrapping, and MBIST.
• Generate and validate ATPG patterns, including advanced fault models and diagnostics.
• Perform design-rule checks and methodology reviews during RTL and flow development.
• Participate in customer design and flow reviews; support silicon bring-up and tape-out readiness.
• Analyze and debug test failures and diagnostics to resolve issues efficiently.
• Deploy, tune, and validate agentic AI flows for DFT tasks (scan insertion, ATPG setup, DRC triage, diagnostics) at customer sites and relay findings into product planning.

Requirements

Core technical skills and practical experience required. Must-have items are listed first; a short list of nice-to-have follows.

• Must-have: Proven experience with RTL coding, DFT insertion, scan synthesis, ATPG, and MBIST architecture planning.
• Practical knowledge of pattern generation and silicon bring-up processes.
• Familiarity with test-related protocols such as IEEE 1149.x, IEEE 1500, and IEEE 1687.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills for complex test issues.
• Experience using LLM-based coding assistants and agentic engineering tools in an EDA workflow.
• Customer-facing experience: demonstrations, evaluations, and technical support.
• Effective written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to engineers and managers.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience productizing engineering workflows or integrating customer feedback into product roadmaps.
• Prior work in technical sales or solutions engineering roles supporting chip design customers.

Education Requirements

BSc with 7+ years or MSc with 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical fields; equivalent practical experience considered.
