Role Summary

The Applications Engineering, Sr Director-Formal Verification role involves leading a team of product application engineers dedicated to promoting Synopsys Formal Verification Applications while developing partnerships with clients to address their verification requirements.

Experience Level

Senior level, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in engineering and at least 5 years in a management role.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Managing a team of product application engineers to promote the adoption of Synopsys Formal Verification Applications.
• Building strategic partnerships with key clients to understand their verification needs.
• Facilitating management and technical review meetings with customers.
• Conducting competitive analysis to drive the development of formal verification technologies.
• Collaborating with R&D and Product Management teams to enhance verification flows.
• Executing formal consulting services and defining verification methodologies.
• Leading the development of assertion IPs according to customer specifications.

Requirements

The requirements for this position are as follows:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; postgraduate degree preferred.
• 15+ years in industry, particularly with RTL design or verification methodologies.
• 5+ years managing engineering teams.
• Extensive knowledge of assertion-based verification.
• Experience with hardware design languages (Verilog/VHDL) and Unix/Linux automation scripting (bash, csh).
• Strong programming skills in Tcl, Perl, and Python.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective engagement with internal and external parties.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
