Role Summary
Provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support for automotive optical simulation in Korea, focusing on exterior/interior lighting, camera systems, HUD, LiDAR, and ADAS. Work directly with OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers to deliver proofs of concept, trainings, and workflows that accelerate product development.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include customer engagement, solution demonstration, workflow automation, and knowledge transfer.
- Support automotive OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers in Korea with technical pre-sales and post-sales engagements for optical simulation.
- Build proofs of concept and demonstrations that validate designs and show simulation ROI.
- Develop and demonstrate AI-assisted workflows that integrate Zemax, Speos, or equivalent tools with Python automation and data analytics.
- Lead technical trainings, workshops, and customer seminars on optical simulation methodologies and system-level validation.
- Create technical documentation, application notes, best-practice guidelines, and localized materials (webinars, blogs, release communications).
- Collaborate on new simulation methodologies and contribute to technical papers and conference presentations.
- Explore and prototype generative AI approaches to improve design exploration and simulation efficiency.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or preferred.
- Must-have: 1–3 years of industrial experience in automotive optical system development (cameras, LiDAR, HUD, HMI, interior monitoring, or automotive lighting).
- Must-have: Hands-on experience with optical simulation/design tools such as Zemax, Speos, or equivalent platforms.
- Must-have: Proficiency in scripting for automation and workflow development (Python, MATLAB, or C++).
- Must-have: Working-level English for technical documentation and collaboration with global teams; ability to work with Korean-speaking customers.
- Preferred: Experience applying AI/ML techniques to engineering, simulation, or product development workflows.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Ansys Lumerical, Ansys Mechanical, Code V, RSoft, or LightTools.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Photonics, or a related engineering discipline.
