Applications Engineer – Verification & AI Solutions
Role Summary
Deliver technical customer support and enablement for Synopsys software verification flows, with a focus on AI and agentic verification solutions. Work hands‑on to deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize verification and debug flows in customer environments.
Collaborate with R&D and global support teams to provide field feedback, shape new solutions, and help customers adopt verification tooling effectively.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career - 1–3 years of relevant experience in ASIC design, verification, or a related engineering role.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include customer-facing enablement, deployment, and troubleshooting of verification flows and AI-driven verification tools.
- Support customers in setting up, running, and analyzing software verification and debug flows.
- Deploy and troubleshoot Synopsys AI and agentic solutions for software verification in customer environments.
- Collaborate with R&D to provide use cases, feedback, and field insights for new agentic solutions.
- Assist customers with tool usage, best practices, and flow optimization.
- Analyze design and verification issues and provide clear, practical guidance to resolve them.
- Escalate, track, and coordinate resolution of tool or flow-related issues with internal teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of verification methodologies and customer support processes.
- Learn customer environments and project requirements under the mentorship of experienced Application Engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for success in this role.
- Understanding of ASIC design and software verification flows.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with SystemVerilog, UVM, and verification methodology.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and basic scripting (e.g., TCL).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn complex tools and flows quickly.
- Customer-focused communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- 1–3 years of relevant industry experience (customer support, applications, or verification roles).
- Nice-to-have: experience with AI and agentic solutions or related workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
