Mid-level β€” at least 3 years of relevant semiconductor design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical customer engagements, benchmarks, training, and cross-functional feedback.

  • Support customers using Totem and related signoff simulation tools from evaluation through production tape-out.
  • Run competitive benchmarks and product evaluations on customer designs and present results to engineering and management stakeholders.
  • Deliver hands-on training, methodology development, and tapeout support to ensure correct use of signoff flows.
  • Partner with Sales to identify technical challenges, propose solutions, and demonstrate value that drives product adoption and retention.
  • Provide advanced support on power-grid extraction, noise analysis, ESD protection, and embedded memory/IP characterization.
  • Develop automation scripts and utilities (Perl, Tcl, Python) to streamline workflows and troubleshoot tool issues.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Marketing to relay customer feedback and influence product roadmaps.

Requirements

Key technical skills and professional experience required or preferred.

  • Must have: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in analog backend design flow, transistor-level power integrity analysis, and physical design in a production environment.
  • Must have: Deep practical knowledge of analog circuit design, power-grid extraction, noise analysis, and ESD protection methodologies.
  • Must have: Experience with layout/CAD tools, extraction formats such as SPEF/DSPF, and analog simulation used in production designs.
  • Must have: Proficiency with UNIX/Linux and scripting (Perl, Tcl, or Python) for automation and debugging.
  • Must have: Strong English communication skills and experience communicating technical results to engineers and management.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Prior customer-facing experience in applications engineering, field applications, or design services.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Familiarity with competitive signoff and power-integrity tools and experience running competitive evaluations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is required. The posting specifies a minimum of 3 years' experience in semiconductor design (analog backend, simulation, and physical design).
