Role Summary

The Applications Engineer will work as part of the Lattice Regional Apps Team, contributing to FPGA system design, software, and IP support. This role includes customer support and various aspects of the customer-focused product development lifecycle, with opportunities to learn about RTL design and improve methodologies through scripting.

Mid-level, suitable for candidates with a background in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Work on FPGA system design, software, and IP support.
  • Learn and contribute to RTL design and customer support for FPGA solutions.
  • Utilize scripting knowledge (e.g., Perl, Python) to enhance design efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, sales, and field applications engineers.
  • Develop strong relationships with worldwide teams.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications include:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of digital design, CMOS technology, and basic electronics.
  • Familiarity with RTL coding (Verilog/VHDL) and ASIC design implementation flow is an advantage.
  • Experience with industry-standard tools like Cadence and Synopsys is helpful.
  • Willingness to work with multiple groups across different sites and time zones.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required.
