Applications Engineer (DFT)

Role Overview

The Design for Test Consultant at Siemens Digital Industries Software will support Tessent DFT software in complex ASIC designs. This role involves implementing and verifying DFT features for Enterprise Customer ASIC products, leveraging advanced Tessent methodologies.

Experience Level

This position requires a strong background in ASIC design and DFT methodologies, suitable for those in a mid-career level role.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consulting services covering a range of DFT activities.
• Implement and deploy DFT flows utilizing the Tessent tool.
• Facilitate customer adoption of Tessent software capabilities.
• Communicate technical solutions to meet customer objectives.
• Influence product engineering based on customer technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project success.
• Deliver Tessent-based solutions tailored to customer needs.

Qualifications

Applicants should hold a BSEE or BSCS, with an MSEE preferred. Required experiences include:

• ASIC Design for Test knowledge.
• Experience with MBIST, IJTAG, Boundary Scan, Scan, ATPG, and Embedded Compression.
• Proficient in design flow automation within the Tessent Shell environment.
• Experience in Memory BIST, Logic BIST, and the use of Tessent tools for boundary scan and test compression.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
