Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Join Arm's hardware applications engineering team in Budapest to support partners integrating Arm CPUs and System IP into SoCs. The role focuses on technical customer support, mentoring on IP integration and configuration, debugging with RTL simulation, and communicating solutions to partner teams.
No relocation package is available for this role.

Mid-level.
Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance and training to partners and support SoC development using Arm IP.
- Respond to partner questions about Arm CPU and System IP.
- Prepare and deliver technical training workshops, onsite and remotely.
- Perform customer SoC build reviews and recommend functionality and optimizations.
- Collaborate with IP build and product management teams to improve partner experience and influence features.
- Test IP deliverables and provide pre-release feedback to the build team.
- Maintain knowledge-base articles and application notes.
- Develop tools and techniques to streamline problem solving for Application Engineers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- Strong understanding of HDLs (Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL).
- Good knowledge of CPU architecture principles and SoC build concepts.
- Experience using RTL simulation tools for debugging.
- Familiarity with tools such as Questasim, Verdi, Cadence Simvision, and Xcelium.
- Ability to collaborate with distributed teams and communicate technical findings to partners.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of AMBA bus protocols.
- Familiarity with the Arm Architecture and system coherency concepts.
- Knowledge of PCIe, CXL, and/or UCIe specifications.
Education Requirements
BSc degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (ECE) or equivalent practical experience.
