Applications Engineer
Role Summary
The Applications Engineer will join the Application Engineering team to support customers using Silicon Labs 32-bit wireless MCU products. The team produces example code, user guides and application notes, and serves as the technical bridge between customers and R&D during design, development and certification.

Responsibilities
Core day-to-day responsibilities include customer support, example code and documentation, and cross-team collaboration:
- Provide technical support to customers during their design and development activities.
- Create code examples, application notes and quick start guides for wireless applications.
- Collaborate with IC design, software engineering and marketing teams on product evaluations and new product definition.
- Support customers through the product development lifecycle from initial planning to certification.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies:
- Proficient in C programming for embedded systems.
- Practical experience with embedded systems and RF concepts (RF modulations).
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with board-level circuit design and testing involving high-frequency circuitry and low-cost antennas.
- Experience with PCB schematic entry and layout (Cadence and/or Altium preferred).
- Experience with wireless protocols such as Bluetooth LE/Mesh, Zigbee, or IEEE 802.15.4.
Education Requirements
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field (the posting specifies BSc or MSc).
