Role Summary
Factory-based Applications Engineer supporting high-speed IPs, FPGA designs and manufacturing partners. Member of the IP Product Enablement team responsible for resolving technical issues between customers and the factory and delivering reliable, production-ready solutions.
Work focuses on bring-up, validation, support for vendors and customers, and enabling products from architecture through market release and customer support.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include technical enablement, debugging, and cross-functional support for FPGA-based products in the factory and with customers.
- Support high-speed IPs, FPGA designs and factory vendors; act as technical liaison between customers and manufacturing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and firmware issues during bring-up and production.
- Perform validation, timing closure support, and signal-integrity analysis as needed for product release.
- Develop and execute test plans and diagnostics; use oscilloscopes, signal analyzers and lab equipment for debugging.
- Participate across product lifecycle: architecture, specification, documentation, market release and customer support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, QA, manufacturing, support) and work independently when required.

Must-have
- Hands-on FPGA and/or firmware bring-up and debugging using oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.
- Expertise with FPGA design flows and RTL languages (Verilog and/or VHDL).
- Proven experience delivering revenue-generating hardware products and participating across product development.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Right to work in Malaysia and successful background/reference checks required.

Nice-to-have
- Experience in image/video processing, memory standards or high-speed interfaces.
- Familiarity with physical interface standards (e.g., SSTL, HSTL, LVSTL, HSUL).
- Experience with timing closure, PLL/DLL design strategies and signal integrity.
- Hands-on RTL development and verification experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) is specified; the posting requires 8+ years of experience. No alternative-equivalent wording provided.
