Role Summary
The Application Engineering Staff Engineer at Synopsys will be responsible for supporting and promoting the PrimeTime Static Timing Analysis tool in pre-sales and post-sales efforts. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and contribute to innovations in semiconductor design.
Experience Level
Mid-level, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or 3-4 years with a Master's degree.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Synopsys PrimeTime Static Timing Analysis tool across various engagements.
- Driving product adoption through evaluations and communications with design teams.
- Delivering training and technical presentations to enhance user satisfaction.
- Providing tape-out support and troubleshooting timing issues.
- Collaborating with R&D, marketing, and sales to relay customer feedback.
- Developing technical documentation and best practices.
- Participating in initiatives that drive innovation.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must possess the following:
- Expertise in Synopsys PrimeTime STA tool.
- Understanding of timing corners, process variations, and signal integrity issues.
- Familiarity with synthesis, physical design, and ECO methodologies.
- Proficiency in TCL scripting for automation.
- Strong communication skills with customer-facing experience preferred.
Education Requirements
BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE/equivalent with 3-4 years of experience.
