The Application Engineering, Sr Engineer focuses on ICV Runset Development, playing a key role in the semiconductor solutions team at Synopsys. This position involves designing and developing physical verification runsets to ensure the reliability and efficiency of semiconductor products.

Mid-level, with 5-8 years of experience in the Physical Verification (PV) domain.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Developing and validating DRC, LVS, and Fill runsets for the Synopsys IC Validator tool.
• Collaborating with foundries to deliver high-quality PV runsets.
• Automating qualification processes using scripting.
• Troubleshooting layout verification issues.
• Interfacing with customers to gather requirements and provide support.
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to knowledge sharing.
• Staying updated with EDA tool advancements and foundry processes.

Requirements

Essential requirements include:

• B.Tech, M.Tech, or MS in Electronics, VLSI, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Physical Verification.
• Proficiency with EDA tools such as IC Validator, Calibre, and Pegasus.
• Strong scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, and Python.
• Deep understanding of CMOS layout, ASIC design flows, and foundry requirements.
• Experience writing DRC, LVS, ERC, and DFM rule decks.
