Application Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Internship within Qorvo's Advanced Cellular Applications group supporting application engineering and design methodology work for RF, analog, and digital flows. The intern will help evaluate and improve engineering workflows, develop scripts and tools, run RF simulations, and communicate technical findings to engineering and business audiences.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current college students (undergraduate or graduate). Intended for candidates enrolled in an accredited degree program.
Responsibilities
Work on project-based assignments that support engineering efficiency, methodology, and RF analysis.
- Assess and document current engineering workflows to identify improvements and automation opportunities.
- Develop scripting solutions (Python where applicable) to streamline tasks and increase consistency.
- Support development and deployment of design methodologies for RF, analog, and digital flows.
- Perform RF network simulations and assist with related analysis.
- Analyze results, summarize key findings, and prepare clear presentations for technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
Key skills and conditions required for the internship.
- Technical foundation: Coursework or exposure to analog/RF circuit design (must-have).
- Programming: Python scripting experience preferred.
- Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Interest: Strong interest in RF engineering, cellular communications, or related fields.
- Communication: Ability to summarize technical information and present it clearly.
- Location/legal: This position is open only to candidates with legal status to work in Spain.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. Specifically pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. GPA expectation: 3.3 or higher.
