Application Engineer (Tessent)
Role Summary
Provide technical support and application engineering for Siemens EDA's Tessent silicon test products. Work with customers to deploy test solutions, resolve issues, deliver training, and coordinate feedback to product and sales teams.
Position sits in the Software/Sales organization and collaborates with product, support, and sales teams in a hybrid work setting based in Seongnam, KR.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include customer support, product deployment, training, and documentation.
- Provide technical support to customers by phone, electronically, and onsite.
- Assist customers in deploying Siemens EDA silicon test solutions to address design challenges.
- Track and update customer issues using company processes and tracking tools.
- Develop and deliver technical training on product features and updates.
- Create technical content for the knowledge base and internal documentation.
- Communicate customer technical requirements and issues to product and sales teams.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex problems and ensure customer success.
Requirements
Required technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Must-have: Familiarity with VLSI/ASIC design and VLSI testing; strong troubleshooting and problem decomposition skills.
- Must-have: In-depth understanding of Design for Test (DFT) structures including scan-based testing, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, and Boundary Scan.
- Must-have: Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing communication skills.
- Preferred: Experience with design, simulation, and verification of ASIC/VLSI circuits and systems, design verification, and product test generation.
- Preferred: Knowledge of scan data compression methodologies and ATPG flows.
- Preferred: Experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Preferred: Familiarity with languages and scripts such as Verilog, VHDL, TCL, Perl, and C/C++.
- Preferred: Experience with CAD tools: synthesis, simulation, ATPG, Memory BIST, Logic BIST, and Boundary Scan.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering is specified (BSEE/MSEE). A Master’s degree is preferred. The posting does not state equivalent-experience language or other certification requirements.
