Application Engineer - Prototyping

Role Summary

The Application Engineer for Prototyping will be responsible for deploying Siemens EDA ProFPGA prototyping solutions at customer sites, ensuring a smooth design bring-up process and enhancing customer methodology for maximum solution value.

Experience Level

This position requires 8 to 12 years of experience in FPGA-based hardware prototyping platforms and associated methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Siemens EDA ProFPGA solutions and support customers in design implementation.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to address customer challenges and improve product specifications.
• Train Application Engineers and customers on product usage and best practices.
• Facilitate communication between customers and R&D for enhancements and improvements.
• Create tutorials and examples to assist users in maximizing product utility.
• Work with QA and documentation teams to enhance product tests and guides.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of FPGA-based hardware prototyping, design mapping, and transactor development.
• Practical knowledge of synthesis, partitioning, place-and-route (PnR), and debugging.
• Proficient in Verilog/SV for RTL design and SystemVerilog/UVM for verification.
• Deep knowledge of functional verification and RTL synthesis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
