Role Summary

Pre-sales Application Engineer supporting Siemens EDA PCB design and analysis solutions. The role works with sales and product teams to identify customer needs, deliver product demonstrations and workshops, and support customer deployments across the PCB design and analysis workflow.

Experience Level

Mid-level - several years of experience as an Electronics Engineer working with PCB design and electrical analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide technical sales support and customer-facing guidance across the PCB design and analysis lifecycle.

• Lead pre-sales activities and initiatives for PCB design and analysis solutions.
• Deliver technical product presentations, tailored demonstrations, and hands-on workshops.
• Support customer evaluations, deployments, and adoption of advanced product capabilities.
• Provide guidance on PCB design methodologies and electrical analysis workflows.
• Advise engineers and technical managers on solving PCB SI/PI and high-speed channel challenges.
• Collaborate with Sales Account Teams and technical colleagues to define go-to-market tactics and growth plans.
• Communicate customer requirements to product teams and influence product improvements.
• Participate in trade shows, seminars, webcasts, and other marketing activities.

Requirements

Core skills and background required for effective performance in this role.

• Must have: Several years of experience as an Electronics Engineer with practical experience in PCB design and analysis.
• Must have: Strong understanding of the PCB development process and modern high-performance PCB analysis challenges.
• Must have: Solid knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), DDR analysis, and high-speed SERDES channel issues.
• Must have: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English; customer-facing experience.
• Must have: Customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently and in international teams.
• Nice-to-have: Programming or scripting experience.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in Telecommunications and/or Military/Aerospace industries.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Xpedition, HyperLynx, Valor, 3D electromagnetic modeling, or competitor tools and methodologies.
