Application Engineer Internship
Role Summary
Internship supporting Synopsys EDA Design & Sign-off tools, working with Application Engineering and R&D teams to diagnose issues, validate tool flows, and support taped-out designs. The role is onsite in Ho Chi Minh City and involves direct interaction with customers and global teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Suitable for students currently enrolled in a bachelor's program; no prior professional experience required.
Responsibilities
As an intern you will:
- Provide technical support for EDA tools such as PrimeTime, PrimeClosure, Tweaker, STARRC, Nanotime, and Primelib to resolve customer issues.
- Participate in tool migrations, evaluations, and validation across releases; debug design issues and support taped-out designs.
- Collaborate with worldwide Application Engineers, R&D teams, and customers to gather requirements and address escalations.
- Follow up on customer issues, incorporate feedback, and help drive continuous improvement of support processes.
- Work with AI-enabled tool features and contribute to expanding customer support scopes and real-world projects.
Requirements
Must-have technical and interpersonal skills:
- Basic understanding of Static Timing Analysis (STA), power analysis, RC extraction, and general VLSI flow.
- Proficiency with Linux and scripting (Tcl, Python, Perl, Cshell, or similar).
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills; curiosity about new tools and AI technologies.
- Good English communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally and across regions.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Available to work onsite in Ho Chi Minh City and start in November 2026.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
