Application Engineer — Embedded Hardware (RF / Networking / Wireless)
Role Summary
Provide engineering design support and customer-facing application engineering for embedded hardware platforms including MCUs/MPUs, RF front-ends and networking processors. Work with regional engineering teams and customers to develop, test, debug and demonstrate hardware solutions.
Primary mission: accelerate customer designs through hardware evaluation, proof-of-concept demonstrations, documentation and training.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 7 years of relevant hardware design experience focused on embedded and networking processors.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include design support, demonstrations, documentation and training.
- Provide advanced hardware design support for MCU/MPU, RF and networking processor platforms.
- Collaborate with customers on block diagrams, circuit design, testing, debugging and optimization.
- Perform hardware analysis and simulations to validate designs.
- Design and deliver technical demonstrations and proofs of concept that show architecture and real-world application performance.
- Produce technical documentation: application notes, technical guides and training materials.
- Deliver training sessions and workshops for customers and internal engineers.
- Contribute to product performance specifications and development roadmaps.
- Ensure accurate archival of engineering designs and solution documentation.

Must-have: Minimum 7 years experience in hardware design for embedded and networking processors; proven experience across multiple MCU/MPU platforms and RF designs.

Must-have: Strong fundamentals in RF and electronics.

Must-have: Hands-on experience with ARM Cortex, RISC-V or comparable cores and networking processors.

Must-have: Experience developing proofs of concept and performing hardware validation and debugging.

Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication for customer interaction.

Nice-to-have: Experience with hardware simulation/analysis tools and creating customer-facing training materials.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Communications or a related engineering field.
