Application Engineer (DFT)

Role Summary

The Design for Test Consultant will be responsible for supporting the use of Tessent DFT software in the design of complex Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) designs. The role involves implementing and verifying DFT features for Enterprise Customer’s products and ensuring customers effectively utilize the Tessent tool suite.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Effectively communicating how Siemens Digital Industries Software products and services address customers’ technical objectives.
• Working with customers to implement and deploy DFT flows around Tessent tools.
• Articulating customer technical requirements and influencing product engineering.
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and collaborating with team members.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• BSEE or BSCS, or equivalent; MSEE preferred.
• ASIC Design for Test experience.
• Experience with MBIST, IJTAG, Boundary Scan, Scan, ATPG, Embedded Compression.
• Strong understanding of overall ASIC design and experience with tcl scripting.
• DFT architecture and methodology development experience is highly desired.
• RTL design experience is a plus.

Education Requirements

BSEE or BSCS, or equivalent; MSEE preferred.
