Role Summary

Join the Performance Computing Power Application Engineering team focused on power management solutions for AI and cloud infrastructure. You will perform lab evaluation, behavioral modeling, and generate application collateral while working cross-functionally with marketing, IC design, firmware, and systems engineering.

Experience Level

Entry-level — BS degree with no more than 2 years of experience, or a recently graduated MS degree with no post-graduate experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include hands-on lab work, modeling, documentation, and support for product and customer engagements.

• Evaluate algorithms and prototypes in the lab using FPGA, microcontrollers, and analog front-end hardware.
• Create behavioral models of DC–DC converters and IC blocks using SIMPLIS and/or MATLAB.
• Contribute to product requirement documents to support design and verification.
• Produce technical collateral such as datasheets, performance reports, and application notes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, firmware, systems, marketing) to deliver power solutions.

Requirements

Key technical qualifications for successful candidates.

• Must-have: Practical understanding of power management (magnetics, control loop theory, component selection) and hands-on experience with DC–DC converters, especially multiphase buck converters.
• Must-have: Proficiency using lab equipment (network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators) and experience automating lab tests.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in embedded programming and synthesizing Verilog code into FPGA.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with mixed-signal IC concepts and digital systems design.

Education Requirements

BS degree (no more than 2 years of experience) or recently graduated MS degree with no post-graduate experience. Coursework or experience in digital systems, Verilog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits is specified.
