Job Title

Analog Mixed-Signal Design Intern

Role Summary

Internship role on an analog and mixed-signal IC design team contributing to design, simulation, verification and silicon characterization of low-power analog circuits. Work includes amplifier and power-management block design and scripting to support design and measurement workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current graduate students; no specific years of industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities for this internship:

  • Design, simulate, and verify analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Apply operational amplifier theory, perform stability analysis, and implement compensation techniques.
  • Design low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters to meet energy and performance targets.
  • Perform silicon characterization and lab-based debugging to verify silicon against specifications.
  • Develop and apply scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate design flows and data analysis.
  • Participate in team design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Key must-have and desirable qualifications.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in analog IC design, operational amplifier theory, and low-power design principles.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with scripting for automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Must-have: Strong communication skills, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team setting.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with silicon lab characterization, measurement equipment, or debug workflows.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to mixed-signal verification and measurement data interpretation.

Education Requirements
