Analog/Mixed Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and simulate transistor-level analog and mixed-signal circuits, with a focus on power conversion and integrated system performance. Work on projects from concept through lab validation and production release, collaborating with test, product, and applications engineering.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically 5+ years of relevant industry experience in analog design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
- Architect, implement and analyze trade-offs of different solutions.
- System- and block-level circuit simulation and modeling.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated-circuit problems in the laboratory.
- Interface with test, product, and applications engineering to bring new products from concept to production release.
- Oversee and support physical layout activities.
- Collaborate with product definition teams and support production datasheets.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Strong background in analog design and mixed-signal simulation and modeling.
- Experience with DC/DC power-conversion topologies.
- Strong understanding of device physics and device-level operation.
- Familiarity with general lab equipment and hands-on IC validation.
- Self-motivated, results oriented, problem solver and team player.
- Experience in automotive and/or industrial applications is preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and 5+ years of relevant industry experience in analog design; experience in automotive and/or industrial sectors is noted.
