Job Title
Analog Layout Staff Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for delivering optimized analog layouts that meet performance, area, and power targets for semiconductor products. Member of the CE analog layout team working cross-functionally with designers and global engineering teams to realize high-speed and precision analog circuits across multiple process nodes.
Experience Level
Senior-level (Staff Engineer). Years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Implement and optimize analog and microelectronic layouts using CAD tools (Cadence Virtuoso).
- Run simulations and layout verifications; iterate with designers to meet electrical and physical specifications.
- Own layout tasks across the development cycle: floorplan, layout, verification, delivery, and post-delivery support.
- Deliver high-speed and precision analog circuits across multiple process nodes.
- Collaborate with global teams across time zones and present technical status, issues, and solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate as a technical contributor in team and project meetings.
- Provide layout support during integration and debugging phases.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Practical experience with Cadence Virtuoso or equivalent layout/CAD tools.
- Proven track record delivering analog layouts, preferably for high-speed or precision circuits and across multiple process nodes.
- Experience owning tasks from cell level to functional blocks and interfaces.
- Strong communication skills for cross-team updates and global collaboration.
- Ability to run and interpret layout verification results and support debugging.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience mentoring others or acting as a technical lead within layout teams.
- Familiarity with export-control requirements for work on controlled technology.
