Job Title
Analog Layout Designer
Role Summary
Onsite analog layout engineer supporting advanced process nodes as part of a global layout and design organization. The role executes block- and IP-level analog layout, integrates blocks at the top level, and coordinates closely with circuit designers and the layout team.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of hands-on analog or RF layout experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on independent layout delivery, integration, and verification for complex analog IP and modules.
- Perform block-level and IP-level analog layout for mixed-signal modules.
- Develop floorplans and layouts for analog subsystems such as SerDes, ADC/DAC, and PLLs.
- Execute top-level integration of analog blocks into chip-level layouts.
- Coordinate with circuit designers, global layout teams, and other stakeholders to meet design and process requirements.
- Debug and resolve DRC, LVS, antenna, and other verification violations.
- Apply knowledge of ESD, latch-up, and electromigration mitigation in layout implementations.
- Provide technical leadership on complex layout problems and may coordinate activities of other personnel.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items noted.
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in analog or RF layout (block and IP levels).
- Proven experience with floorplanning and layout of analog modules (SerDes, ADC/DAC, PLLs).
- Strong skills debugging physical verification issues: DRC, LVS, antenna errors.
- Understanding of analog layout concepts for deep sub-micron processes, including ESD, latch-up, and EM considerations.
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate across global teams; capable of independent delivery on complex tasks.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with Cadence layout tools and familiarity with TSMC processes; FinFET process experience preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required (posting states "Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience required"). No specific field of study, certifications, or explicit equivalent-experience language are listed.
