Analog IC Product Engineer (m/f/d)
AppleJob Title
Analog IC Product Engineer (m/f/d)
Role Summary
Ownership of New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for analog IC devices from first silicon through high-volume production. Work with Design, DFT, Test, and Quality teams to characterize devices, identify failure mechanisms, and implement corrective actions to improve yield and quality.
Use statistical analysis and modern data analytics, including AI/ML techniques, to accelerate root-cause identification and drive production readiness and ramp.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Several years of semiconductor product engineering experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Deliver NPI milestones and coordinate cross-functional execution for analog IC products.
- Define milestones, maintain product development schedule, and drive execution cadence.
- Partner with Design, DFT, and Test to debug failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform statistical analysis on large production datasets to identify yield and quality improvements.
- Apply AI/ML tools for deep-dive analysis and to accelerate root-cause identification.
- Define ATE characterization test plans and produce characterization reports.
- Drive GRR data collection and analysis; improve test program stability and consider test-time trade-offs.
- Finalize production test limits and guard bands using ATE-to-bench correlation, GRR, HTOL, and PVT results.
- Support QA/Reliability across qualification requirements and support mass-production ramp activities.
Requirements
Core technical skills and communication skills required; additional preferred experience listed below.
- In-depth knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Solid understanding of analog, DC, and power fundamentals.
- Strong foundation in statistical data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to align cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally on occasion.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with ATE characterization, GRR, ATE-to-bench correlation, guard-banding, and test limit definition.
- Experience with yield management in high-volume manufacturing.
- Familiarity with product and package qualification (HTOL, ESD, latch-up) and analog test methodologies.
- Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks and with DOE for failure analysis.
- Exposure to analog package technologies.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required; equivalent practical experience accepted.
