Analog IC Layout Engineer

Role Summary

Contribute to physical implementation of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for Automotive Power Solutions within the Central Layout Group. Support block-level development through product integration and tape-out in a multidisciplinary, international engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop analog and mixed-signal layout blocks from schematic to tape-out.
• Support floorplanning and top-level physical integration activities.
• Optimize layouts for electrical performance, matching, reliability and manufacturability.
• Execute DRC, LVS, ERC and other physical verification tasks.
• Support parasitic extraction and post-layout analysis and participate in design review and sign-off.
• Troubleshoot layout-related issues in collaboration with design, verification, package, test and product engineering teams.
• Ensure high-quality layout deliveries following NXP methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement of layout practices.

Requirements

Must-have:

• Knowledge of analog IC layout methodologies.
• Experience with Cadence Virtuoso layout environment.
• Understanding of DRC/LVS verification concepts.
• Familiarity with Linux working environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural and international teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with Calibre, PVS or equivalent verification tools.
• Knowledge of CMOS, BCD or high-voltage technologies.
• Experience with analog mixed-signal integrated circuits.
• Basic scripting skills (SKILL, Python, TCL or Shell).
• Experience in automotive semiconductor development.
• Interest in layout automation and methodology improvements.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or Microelectronics.
