Analog IC Design Manager

Role Summary

Lead and manage an analog/mixed-signal IC design group responsible for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits and components. The role directs technical work, evaluates project outcomes against objectives, prepares technical reports, and develops team members to ensure efficient function operation.

Position is based in Dallas, TX and focuses on product development within an engineering organization.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, project oversight, and personnel development.

  • Direct and guide activities of an analog/mixed-signal design or research team.
  • Define technical objectives, review design work, and validate project results against goals.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Select, develop, evaluate, and mentor team members to ensure efficient operation of the function.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align projects and deliverables.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required for success in this role; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: Minimum 10 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design and management of engineering teams.
  • Proven experience directing R&D or technical design functions and delivering technical projects on schedule.
  • Experience evaluating design outcomes and making data-driven technical recommendations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering personnel.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • Ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven time-management skills to enable on-time project delivery.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
