Job Title

Analog IC Design Manager

Role Summary

Manage a team of analog designers responsible for analog and mixed-signal IP for MSP microcontrollers targeted at industrial and automotive markets. Drive execution from specification through release, coordinate with SoC functions (system/architecture/RTL/DV/DFT/PD/test), and contribute to roadmap and IP planning.

Work focuses on low-power, low-cost, high-performance analog blocks such as ADC/DAC, power management, oscillators/PLLs, opamps, comparators, references, and analog front-ends.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include team leadership, project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Lead and manage a team of analog/mixed-signal designers.
  • Define and drive IP roadmap and planning for MSP MCU analog content.
  • Interface and collaborate with system architecture, RTL/DV, DFT, power, and test teams.
  • Drive execution from specification through design, verification, and release to market (RTM).
  • Ensure analog IP meet performance, power, and coexistence requirements in mixed-signal SoCs.
  • Mentor engineers and support technical and career development.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience; preferred attributes listed separately.

  • 10+ years of industry experience in analog IC or mixed-signal design, with hands-on understanding of analog IP types and integration in SoCs.
  • Experience delivering analog blocks (ADC, DAC, LDO, DCDC, supervisors/monitors, oscillators, PLLs, opamps, comparators, references, analog front ends) for MCUs or SoCs.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with system, RTL/DV, DFT, power, and test groups to deliver production silicon.
  • Experience managing and developing engineering teams and driving projects to on-time delivery.

Nice-to-have:

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; ability to build stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to ramp quickly on new systems and take initiative to drive results.
  • Strong time management skills for delivering projects on schedule.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is specified.
