Analog IC Design Engineering Intern - MS/PhD
Role Summary
The intern will help define, model, design, implement and document analog, digital and RF integrated circuits. Work is within TI's product-design teams across areas such as audio, imaging, high-speed, interface, clocking, medical, automotive, storage, power and battery management.
This is a hands-on engineering internship focused on practical chip-design tasks, design reviews, prototype characterization and cross-functional coordination.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Intended for graduate students (MS/PhD) or students at the bachelor's level preparing for a graduate program; academic progress and recent coursework in relevant engineering fields expected.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include design, analysis, verification and coordination activities required to move analog ICs from specification to product release.
- Partner with system and business teams to develop and agree design specifications.
- Analyze chip-architecture trade-offs to meet specifications, performance and cost targets.
- Participate in design reviews and produce required design and product documentation.
- Supervise or coordinate IC layout to meet performance targets.
- Characterize prototypes, develop test specifications, and coordinate with test/product engineering for releases.
- Develop and validate behavioral models for circuit blocks.

Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering is expected.
