Job Title

Analog IC Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on Texas Instruments' Precision ADC (PADC) team to design high-precision analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits used for sensing and data conversion. The role covers specification, circuit architecture, design and verification, layout supervision, silicon debug, characterization, and qualification support.

Experience Level

Mid-level β€” requires 3+ years of analog and/or mixed-signal circuit design experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute across the IC design cycle for precision ADC and sensing AFE products.

  • Collaborate with business and system engineers to develop design specifications.
  • Analyze architecture trade-offs at system and block levels.
  • Design analog circuits (Ξ”-Ξ£ ADCs, references, LDOs, PGAs, charge pumps, opamps, DACs) focused on precision, low noise, low power.
  • Perform top-level and block-level analog/AMS design verification and documentation.
  • Supervise IC layout to meet performance targets and participate in design reviews.
  • Lead silicon debug, characterization, and qualification support.
  • Drive methodology and flow improvements where needed.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC circuit design.
  • Demonstrated ability to design precision, low-noise, low-power analog circuits and analyze trade-offs.
  • Experience with analog/AMS design verification and producing design documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon debug, device characterization, and providing qual support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience designing bandgap references, bias circuits, amplifier design, switch-cap circuits, and LDOs.
  • ADC design experience and familiarity with MATLAB and Verilog-AMS modeling.
  • Proven record of reliable silicon performance and on-time project delivery.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related field with coursework and projects in analog/mixed-signal IC design (Master's Degree required per posting).
