Role Summary

Responsible for design, simulation and verification of analog and mixed-signal ASICs across the full chip development lifecycle, from architecture through silicon validation and production.

Member of a collaborative engineering team working on high-performance mixed-signal ASICs; role is hybrid based in Cork, Ireland.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include:

• Design and simulate analog and mixed-signal circuits for ASICs.
• Verify analog IP and system-level mixed-signal functionality.
• Support ASIC integration, floorplanning and tape-out activities.
• Collaborate with IC layout, test, production and test-engineering teams.
• Oversee critical IC layouts and review layout implementations.
• Plan and support silicon validation and characterization in lab.
• Document designs, test plans and validation results.

Requirements

Must-have and desirable technical skills:

• Must-have: Practical analog IC design experience.
• Must-have: Proven ASIC tape-out experience.
• Must-have: Experience with Cadence Virtuoso or similar design tools.
• Nice-to-have: High-speed analog design experience (TIAs, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, power management).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with silicon validation, characterization and foundry processes (e.g., TSMC, UMC, XFAB).
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with verification/scripting tools such as Verilog and Python.
