Role Summary
Provide analog power expertise to Sales and customers, focusing on Vcore power systems for server and AI platforms. Engage with customers to debug, design, optimize, and validate power solutions across Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA platforms.
Experience Level
Mid-level β expects approximately 5+ years of hands-on experience in power system design, validation, and debug.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system debug, validation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable analog power solutions for servers and AI platforms.
- Support and debug Vcore power delivery systems for Intel (VR13/VR14), AMD (SP5/SP6/SP7), and NVIDIA GPU/accelerator platforms.
- Perform Vcore fine-tuning using Intel VRTS and AMD SDLE.
- Conduct system-level simulation modeling, loop stability analysis, and transient response tuning.
- Review schematics and PCB layout for power-system issues and improvements.
- Create detailed issue analysis reports with root-cause and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with customer RD and validation teams to meet performance, thermal, and reliability requirements.
- Partner with Sales and Product Line teams to grow analog/power business in server, AI, and datacenter segments.
- Provide engineering feedback to internal design and product teams for next-generation platform support.
Requirements
Must-have skills and practical experience; preferred items are listed separately.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in power-system design, validation, and hardware debug (server or GPU power preferred).
- Strong understanding of Intel VR13/VR14 (EGS/BHS), AMD SP5/SP6/SP7, and NVIDIA GPU power architectures.
- Practical experience in DC-DC converter design, loop compensation, and hardware-level debugging.
- Proficient with simulation and modeling tools such as SIMPLIS, PSpice, TINA-TI, or equivalent.
- Skilled in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power analyzers for system validation.
- Preferred: Vcore transient response tuning, telemetry (SVID/PMBus), sequencing control, clear technical reporting, and strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. (Posting specifies Bachelor's degree level and allows equivalent experience.)
