Analog Field Applications Engineer - Power

Role Summary

Provide analog technical expertise to Sales and support customers through the design cycle for multiphase processor power used in data center server and telecom equipment.

Work with customers in Shenzhen or Shanghai, China to identify product solutions, enable design-ins, and deliver technical training and on-site support as needed.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” typically 1+ years of relevant experience in multiphase power-supply design for CPUs/GPUs/SoCs/ASICs.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include direct customer support, design review, debugging, and technical documentation.

  • Provide application support for multiphase processor power in data center server and telecom equipment.
  • Answer customer technical questions by email and in meetings.
  • Review and advise on schematics and PCB layout for customer applications.
  • Recreate and debug customer issues using evaluation boards and customer hardware.
  • Provide on-site support, technical training, and deep-dive sessions as required.
  • Author application notes explaining use cases, implementations, and product flexibility.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Minimum ~1 year experience with multiphase power-supply design, analysis and debug for CPUs, GPUs, SoCs, or ASICs.
  • Familiarity with VR14, SVI3, PWMVID, AVSBus and PMBus 1.4 protocols.
  • Understanding of power-supply topologies, control laws, and TLVR technologies.
  • Ability to run simulations and create or review schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Basic knowledge of EMI/EMC standards.
  • Fluency in English.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication and ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Strong time management and ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to build influential relationships and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required (Degree Level: Bachelor's Degree).
