Role Summary
The Analog Design Sr. Engineer will be part of Synopsys' Cross-Functional Ultra-High-Speed R&D group, focusing on the design and verification of custom analog blocks for high-speed communication systems at technology nodes exceeding 112GBPS. This role emphasizes collaboration and technical excellence, contributing to innovations in electronic design.
Experience Level
Mid-level, requiring a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in engineering roles.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Verifying and designing custom analog blocks for advanced technology nodes for 112GBPS+ SerDes PHYs.
- Preparing and reporting technical documentation and reports to peers and upper-level management.
- Reviewing and providing recommendations for the layout implementations of custom analog blocks.
Requirements
Candidates must have the following qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Deep knowledge in IC Custom Design flow and hands-on experience in designing analog or digital circuits.
- Experience in DC/AC/Transient, Cross corners PVT, Equivalency checks, Aging, EMIR/SHE Reliability analysis, and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Able to develop and verify circuit simulation models accurate to actual circuit behavior.
- Experience in designing and verifying analog parts (e.g., Op-Amps, VCOs, LDOs).
- Effective team player with good communication skills and a mid-level understanding of English.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Education Requirements
A BS/MS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required.
