Analog Design Intern - BS - 2027 Co-Op
Role Summary
Internship on Marvell's Central Engineering team supporting analog/mixed-signal IP development. Work includes transistor-level design, layout, silicon evaluation, and characterization.
Positions are located at Marvell Toronto Design Centre and Marvell headquarters in Santa Clara, CA. Projects vary by product cycle and student interest.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for undergraduate students (intern / co-op).
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities during the co-op include design, verification, and testing tasks under mentor supervision.
- Support IC design activities: schematic capture, simulation, and layout.
- Perform silicon evaluation and device/board-level characterization.
- Develop and validate behavioral models for analog and digital circuits.
- Analyze transistor-level designs and assist with circuit optimization.
- Follow project schedules and document results in written and verbal form.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analog IP into larger systems.
Requirements
Key technical skills and attributes expected for successful candidates.
- Strong intuitive and analytical understanding of transistor-level design.
- Experience with Cadence schematic capture, simulation, and layout tools.
- Ability to write behavioral models for analog and digital blocks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a team.
- Ability to define and adhere to project schedules and deliverables.
- May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; non-U.S. applicants may be subject to export license review.
- Nice-to-have: experience or coursework in PLL/SERDES, RF/microwave, or digital logic design.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field (BS undergraduate students / co-op candidates). The posting targets students pursuing a BS in relevant engineering programs.
