Analog Design Engineering Intern
Role Summary
Work as an analog design intern on an IC development team in Munich, supporting circuit design, simulation, lab characterization and documentation. The role provides hands-on engineering experience on defined project tasks under the supervision of experienced engineers.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship / placement for students currently enrolled in tertiary education. This is a full-time placement role.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities for this placement include:
- Perform circuit simulations and support analog/mixed-signal design verification (e.g., SPICE).
- Build, debug and run lab and test setups for board/chip characterization.
- Collect, analyse and document measurement data; produce test reports.
- Work with engineers to implement test fixes and iterate on designs.
- Follow engineering processes for version control, documentation and safety.
- Communicate results to the project team and contribute to design reviews.
Requirements
Key non-educational requirements and desirable skills:
- Must-have: Basic understanding of analog circuits and electronics principles.
- Must-have: Hands-on experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators) or willingness to learn.
- Must-have: Familiarity with circuit simulators (SPICE) or similar tools and basic data analysis/scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for measurement processing.
- Must-have: Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to IC test, PCB bring-up, mixed-signal design, or embedded software for measurement automation.
Education Requirements
