Analog Design Engineer, Sr. Staff

The Analog Design Engineer, Sr. Staff will be responsible for designing, developing, and refining high-speed Multi-Gbps NRZ and PAM4 SERDES IP. The role involves working within a dynamic mixed signal R&D team focused on creating high-performance silicon chips using advanced FinFET technology.
Experience Level
Senior level, with 8+ years of experience in IC design for candidates with a BS/BTech, or 6+ years with an MS/MTech/PhD.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Reviewing SerDes standards and architecture documents to create comprehensive analog sub-block specifications.
- Identifying and refining circuit implementations to meet power, area, and performance targets.
- Proposing and executing design and verification strategies.
- Overseeing physical layout to minimize parasitic effects and ensure robust silicon performance.
- Collaborating with digital RTL engineers to develop necessary algorithms.
- Mentoring junior engineers and documenting design features.
- Consulting on electrical characterization within the SerDes IP portfolio.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- BS/BTech degree with 8+ years of IC design experience, or MS/MTech/PhD with 6+ years.
- Strong experience in transistor-level circuit design and CMOS fundamentals.
- Proven experience with SerDes architectures focusing on TX, RX, and Clock paths.
- Familiarity with various components including equalizers, serializers, and PLLs.
- Expertise in optimizing FinFET CMOS layouts.
- Proficient in using EDA tools and SPICE simulators.
- Programming skills in TCL, Perl, C, Python, or MATLAB.
Education Requirements
Expected to have a BS/BTech, MS/MTech, or PhD in a relevant field.
