Job Title

Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work in the Automotive Electrification Business Unit within the Battery Management Systems group to design and develop analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for battery monitoring ICs used in electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

The role involves transistor-level circuit design, simulation, silicon validation, and cross-functional collaboration with design, validation, systems, product engineering, test, and functional safety teams.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career (Graduate-level). Position is listed as a graduate job; specific years of experience not stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, integration, and supporting silicon bring-up of analog and mixed-signal circuits for battery-monitoring ICs.

  • Design and develop analog/mixed-signal blocks: references, power converters, LDOs, ADCs, DACs, oscillators, and bias circuits.
  • Perform transistor-level circuit design, simulation, and analysis using Cadence Spectre or equivalent tools.
  • Analyze performance across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) corners.
  • Contribute to mixed-signal integration and signal-integrity considerations.
  • Support lab-based silicon validation, debug, and characterization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, test, and functional safety to deliver products.
  • Travel as required for the role (up to ~10%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; separate "nice-to-have" items listed below.

  • Transistor-level analog and mixed-signal circuit design and simulation skills.
  • Experience with Cadence Spectre or equivalent circuit simulation tools.
  • Practical understanding of CMOS/BiCMOS device physics and analog performance tradeoffs.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon validation, lab debug, and measurement techniques.
  • Ability to work on mixed-signal integration and address signal-integrity issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Nice-to-have: prior industry experience, exposure to battery systems or automotive electronics, familiarity with AI tools.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a closely related field. Relevant coursework may include Analog Circuit Design, CMOS/IC Design, Mixed-Signal Circuit Design, Semiconductor Devices, VLSI Design, Data Converters, Control Systems, and Power Electronics. Relevant industry experience is noted as a plus.
