Analog Design Engineer
Analog DevicesJob Title
Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Entry-level analog/mixed-signal design role contributing to the design, simulation, validation, and documentation of integrated circuits. You will work with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams while developing practical analog design skills under mentorship.
Experience Level
Entry-level. Suitable for recent graduates or engineers with roughly 0β2 years of relevant analog/mixed-signal experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include supporting analog IC design and verification, documenting results, and participating in team design activities.
- Support design and development of analog and mixed-signal ICs (sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active/passive filters, power distribution).
- Perform simulation and basic validation to confirm designs meet specifications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for designs and test results.
- Participate in design reviews and team meetings; incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
- Assist with debugging and troubleshooting of circuit issues under supervision.
- Build practical skills through hands-on lab work and guided learning.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for team or customer activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools knowledge for effective contribution at the associate level.
- Basic knowledge of analog circuit design (amplifiers, filters, data converters).
- Foundational understanding of mixed-signal integration (analog/digital interfaces).
- Basic proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE and Cadence Virtuoso.
- Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers).
- Basic understanding of CMOS technology principles for IC implementation.
- Fundamental awareness of integrated circuit physical layout considerations.
Education Requirements
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Position is targeted at recent graduates (0β2 years relevant experience). Internship or project experience in analog/mixed-signal design is a plus.
