Role Summary

The Analog Design Engineer will work within the AMD SerDes team in Ireland, focusing on high-speed analog circuit design for SerDes products capable of 200+Gbps. This role emphasizes innovation and meticulous design verification for next-generation computing solutions.

Experience Level

This position is aimed at candidates with substantial experience in analog circuit design, particularly with a focus on high-speed systems. Familiarity with CMOS FinFET technology will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Analog Design Engineer include:

  • Designing and verifying analog circuits for SerDes development, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborating with team members across various locations for design knowledge sharing.
  • Engaging in the presentation of design progress and participating in design reviews.
  • Contributing to system-level verification efforts, modeling analog circuits in Verilog.
  • Assisting with silicon bring-up and debugging efforts.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong background in analog circuit design and analysis.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard schematic and simulation tools.
  • Programming or scripting abilities relevant to circuit design.
  • Understanding of the impact of layout on circuit performance.
  • Experience with high-speed circuit design, silicon validation, and characterization.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering is required.
