Analog Circuit Simulation Performance & Analysis QA Engineer
Role Summary
Join the EDA QA team to develop and execute test strategies and automated test cases for Analog/Mixed-Signal simulation products. The role focuses on validating functionality, performance, and reliability of simulation tools and collaborating with development teams to resolve defects.
Experience Level
Mid-level (Level - Mid-Career); typically 3–7 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing tests, automating test suites, and analyzing defects to improve product quality.
- Design and develop automated test cases and validation suites for analog/mixed-signal simulation features.
- Plan, document, execute, and maintain product testing and verification activities.
- Perform software and emulation hardware testing to diagnose failures and identify root causes.
- Analyze customer-reported defects and automate regression tests to prevent recurrence.
- Measure test coverage and validate products against quality attributes with focus on performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams in an Agile environment to optimize validation and cycle times.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required and preferred.
- Must-have: Understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and QA methodologies.
- Knowledge of automated testing concepts and test case development.
- Familiarity with simulation and hardware description languages such as SPICE, Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, VHDL-AMS, or SystemVerilog.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Nice-to-have: Professional experience in software testing/validation, familiarity with Agile methods, and programming/scripting experience for test automation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
